Chad Dennis is a Jacksonville, FL based commercial, advertising, and editorial photographer who has worked with clients like the United Nations, the NFL, Yahoo and Mayo Clinic. When he isn’t working on commercial jobs, he brings his talents to the Riverside Arts Market (715 Riverside Ave) where he spends Saturdays capturing dog portraits. He loves the serious looks and silly expressions he can capture of normal every day family dogs. Growing up a dog lover, Chad fully understands the importance and value of having a canine companion and is thankful he can capture portraits that will remain for a lifetime.
ABOUt Our sessions
Chad and his team have photographed over 2,600 dogs in the last three years. During that time, they have learned all sorts of tips and tricks to get the most out of even the wiggliest of dogs. While not every dog will sit perfectly, Chad and his team will give it their best effort every time. One thing they take very seriously is not over stressing the animals.
Step 1) Reserve your slot(s) or walk up for a free 15-minute session at the Riverside Arts Market.
Step 2) Chad and his team do their best to capture amazing portraits of your dog(s) in our mobile studio. At the Riverside Arts Market we do not do group shots currently.
Step 3) Review your images. With Chad’s help you will narrow the images down to what we call “All the good ones”.
Step 4) Discuss any prints or digitals that you may want to purchase. Images are for personal use only.
Costs: Public sessions at the Riverside Arts Market are free. We also offer private studio sessions in our Atlantic Beach studio for a sitting fee of $100 ($50 per additional dog). We offer a wide range of print and digital options for purchase, with prints starting at $90 and digitals starting at $60. At no point are you obligated to purchase any portraits from us.
Locations: We set up most every Saturday (weather permitting) at the Riverside Arts Market. Private sessions in the Atlantic Beach studio are by appointment only and weekday/evenings are preferred.
Free Dog Portrait Sessions
at the Riverside Arts Market
FREE DOG PORTRAIT SESSIONS? You read that correctly. Chad and his team offer free 15 minute sessions at the Riverside Arts Market (RAM) most every Saturday.
Sessions are one dog per time slot, but you can book back-to-back slots if needed. At this time, any effort to get group shots need to be done in the studio during a private session.
RAM Location: 715 Riverside Ave, Jacksonville, FL 32204
Market Hours: 10AM-3PM*
Reserved Appointments & Walk ups: You are more than welcome to reserve a time slot(s). If you decide to just walk up without an appointment, Chad and his team will do their best to get you worked in as quickly as possible, but there may be a 15-30 minute wait.
NOTE* RAM is every weekend rain or shine, however, even though Chad and his team strive to be there every weekend, the wind and rain can cause cancelations.
All RAM images are done with a light grey/white background.
Private Studio Sessions
in our Atlantic Beach studio
Your dog won’t do well in the public market? Have a dog that’s a runner? We offer private sessions in our Atlantic Beach studio.
Cost: $100 sitting fee for one dog (+$50 per additional dog), prints and digitals can be purchased after the session. Other than the sitting fee, no purchases are necessary if your dog doesn’t perform.
Backgrounds and Themed Shoots: Chad has a small selection of different colored backdrops that can be chosen from in the studio, but they do not have Christmas and holiday themed sets.
Scheduling: Weekdays and weeknights are preferred and can be booked by contacting Chad directly at chad@chaddennisphoto.com
